En la Ciudad de México, y en un gran numero de urbes alrededor de México, niñxs, jovenxs y adultxs han recurrido a las drogas para sobrevivir en una sociedad que se ha olvidado de aquellxs que integran a esta dicha sociedad. Una sociedad que cada vez se ve mas inclinada al bienestar corporacional que al colectivo.
En las ultimas décadas "la mona" ha plagado las mentes de miles de personas. "La mona" o "activo" es un químico industrial que se inhala por boca y nariz, y que puede llegar a causar graves daños cerebrales. Como se muestra en la imagen, comúnmente se moja una estopa o trapo con el químico y se mantiene cerca de los orificios respiratorios.
Convenientemente para el gobierno mexicano "la mona" crea pasividad.

In Mexico City, and a number of other cities around Mexico, children, youth and adults have resorted to the use of drugs to survive in a society that has forgotten about those who integrate this supposed society. A society that seems more and more inclined to corporation’s wellbeing than collective wellbeing.
In the last decades “la mona” has plagued the minds of thousands of people. “La mona” or “activo” is an industrial chemical that is inhaled through mouth and nose, and it could cause severe brain damage. Like it is shown on the image, commonly a rag is wetted with the chemical and is kept near the respiratory orifices.
Conveniently for the Mexican government “la mona” creates passivity.
