From Lantz at Radix Media:
Inspired by the Celebrate Peoples' History poster series that Josh MacPhee has been putting out for years, I wanted to celebrate a specific group of people that often goes unacknowledged - the printers. Printing has been an anarchist tradition for over a hundred years, and even to this day printers help their communities thrive whether it's by printing business cards for a small family-owned business or a run of books on political theory.
I went into the project as a relatively new printer, not knowing very much about the history of the trade. As I spoke to other radical artists and did more research, I started to absorb a ton of wonderful history. I want to share that history with you, because I think it's worthwhile. Also, I think the posters look pretty good! I would love to expand the series, so feel free to get in touch if you know of someone that would make a great addition. Kudos if the printer in question is non-male-identified.
