Pitbulls Are Nice
$12
This print goes out to all the pitbull lovers. I originally made this image as a stencil for the Cut and Paint stencil zine in response to Denver passing an ordinance around five years ago that banned pitbulls from city limits. I could not imagine what pitbull owners went through in Denver, and while it is true that a small percentage of pitbulls can be violent if their owners encourage fighting and aggression, that certainly does not define the breed. I have always known pitbulls to be extremely smart, loyal, and gentle. In England they are nicknamed "the nanny" because they are so good with children. Perhaps my favorite pitbull story is of a dog in Milwaukee who needed a night-light because she was scared to sleep in dark. This print is dedicated to my beloved pitbull-mix Hippo who passed a few years back and brought 15 years of joy to my family.
