This is a design I created for the 7th Annual Ethnic Studies Conference t-shirt. The major goal of the conference is to promote and introduce high school students to university environment and to the tools and strategies that have been created to help address racism in higher education such as Ethnic Studies. Students of color access to higher education is diminishing due to the current attacks (via poor policy and budget cuts) on public education. The organizers believe this conference allows students of color to start to learn their histories and glimpse what education should really be like. Over the last 7 years organizers haven successfully provided this important opportunity for over 6,000 students.
