Mary Tremonte
Lady Stump-tailed Macaques Embrace
$35
Part of a continuing series about queer gender and sexuality in the animal world. My big inspiration lately has been Bruce Bagemihl's book Biological Exuberance: Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity. Mind-blowing! A huge range of behaviors and expressions. I am still working with gender signifiers and how to convey an animal's sex when we are not used to reading them. These female stump-tailed macaques are kissing as the mounting monkey is climaxing. Hot! Printed at the AS220 Print Shop in Providence, RI.
Note: There is some variation in color and background patterning, as the backgrounds were printed randomly and some of the solids involved multiple colors.
