How Many Dead?

I've been experimenting with the merger of half-toned photos and drawn elements for awhile now, here's one I finished up in the summer. This woman stands out on the street corner in Troy, NY every weekend holding a sign with the current number of dead US soldiers in Iraq. I took the liberty of changing her sign to ask what seems to me to be the question her presence raises. This print is inspired by all the people that have been consistent and persistent in their opposition to the war.
