From the series ‘Bring the War Home’, a group of prints where I’'ve tried to imagine the destruction we deliver overseas on more familiar turf. Also in this series are prints that reflect the war’s pervasive influence on our everyday lives. This image is of my two favorite bridges in my hometown (The Broadway and Steel Bridge in Portland OR) bombed out. The bridges represent themselves (in a speculative way) but also stand for the way that war and violence destroy hope and humanity.
