As Occupy and 'The 99%' movement expands, it continues to deepen its connections with communities and issues of all kinds.
Join us, Wednesday Feb. 22nd, for the forth Interoccuppy Arts call at 10 PM EST/7 PM PST.
To register, click here.
We will hear from artists who are doing powerful, innovative work of 'bridging', using the unique power of art, music, performance and spectacle to connect Occupy to new issues and communities, and vice versa.
This national call will be a great way for artists who are currently involved on social and economic justice movements to network and create connections with other like-minded artists.
The call will include presentations on a variety of subjects, including housing, foreclosures, and immigrant rights. Speakers include Michael Premo & Rachel Falcone of Housing is a Human Right, Julio Salgado of Dreamers Adrift, and myself. Click here to see the full line up.
There will be breakouts sessions where we will all have a chance to discuss questions about how to make these connections stronger, and continue to build the OCCUPY movement.
