On Saturday, Dec 4th, Jesus Barraza, Melanie Cervantes, and Favianna Rodriguez will be at the EastSide Arts Alliance Holiday Art Sale. Jesus and Melanie will be selling limited edition prints and other goodies and I will be selling my new calendars!
This event will also double up as a public mural celebration. So you can expect:
Local Artists. Delicious Food. Live DJ. Beautiful Murals

EastSide Cultural Center
2277 International Blvd, Oakland CA
This year's event is also a celebration of the EastSide Cultural Center's Mosaic Mural by Xochitl Guerrero and Susanne Takehara plus a beautiful new neighborhood mural painted by EastSide artists Jose Garcia, Leslie Lopez, Darren Villegas, with artists Kufu and Bounce and our Visual Element interns. The murals dedication program will start at 3pm. There will be a DJ spinning all day long, plus a few short performances by drummers, musicians, and poets, and delicious hors d'oeuvres representing several of the cultures that make up our neighborhood.
