Bushwick Print Lab, a new community silkscreen space in Bushwick/Ridgewood, is excited to announce our Grand Opening and is hosting an affordable print sale for the holidays. The Bushwick Print Lab is a new rental space dedicated to offering film printing, screen-making, shelf and locker storage, and hourly and monthly shop rentals to artists, printmakers and designers who are seeking a professional and well equip lab to create work in silkscreen on paper and apparel. BPL has affordable rates and will offer classes and production assistance for contemporary artists using the versatile medium of silkscreen. We are dedicated to creating increased accessibility to printmaking for artists of all media and the advancement the art of silkscreen printing.
To celebrate the opening of our amazing, new, shared lab space we will be hosting a party and Holiday Print Sale featuring Bushwick Print Lab members and other fantastic printmakers and studios currently working in NYC. There will also be a large number of vintage prints in all styles and media dating from the mid-50's to today. These prints are amazing and beautiful and will be VERY affordably priced. The sale of these prints will directly benefit the continued development of the Bushwick Print Lab. So if you are looking for that perfect gift for that special someone ... this is your chance to find a unique, inexpensive piece of art. We will have music throughout the evening provided by BPL members, Image Node's crew, and hopefully some special local guests. Hot cider and mulled wine will be served. We look forward to seeing you.
