The Visual Resistance collective calls on all all artists, graphic designers, stencilists, graffitti writers and audacious amateurs!
The last time you heard from us, we were gearing up for the protests against the Republican National Convention in New York City. After some jail time and a short rest, we're launching a new site that will document and archive political art from NYC and across the globe.
We've working on some big ideas, and will be starting up some new printed campaigns in the near future. We also plan on starting up a free publication focused on art and politics in early 2005.
We'd love to hear from all of you -- let us know what you're working on, what you're thinking about, and we'd love to feature your designs on the new site. We're leaving it to you to fill in the blanks. Whatever issues, ideas, dreams or fears you keep closest to your heart - that's what we're looking for.
We can accept digital files in most standard graphic formats - PDF, JPG, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, etc., and hard copy.
Please send any questions, suggestions, ideas, or problems to us at: visual.resistance [at] gmail.com.
Special note on the elections: Our collective is of several minds about the election and most other things. We place a premium on representing a broad spectrum of artistic styles and political opinions. However, we cannot accept designs that explicitly endorse candidates for public office. If you have endorsement-type designs, we can try to help you get them to where they'll do good, but we can't post or print them ourselves.
